Dear Diary and Friends,
Angel left to visit her sister and dad in Texas, I have been feeling off kilter. This morning I woke up and since I didn’t have to work and didn’t have any plans…I dozed off and on in bed for hours until after 10 AM. I have a lot I can do…such as clean my house, finish my macrame project sitting in the middle of the living room, fold and put away clean laundry, start building a lean-to off of my shed to store bicycles in, etc. I never have nothing to do but I was not motivated to do anything. I thought about pushing myself to get moving but then I gave myself permission to have a restful lazy day. Besides it was raining out and rainy days are supposed to be lazy.
Eventually I got up and took a long hot bath while drinking my tea. When I finally made it outside to give the chickens some scratch, they were telling me that I was late and that was not acceptable. I fed and watered the rabbit and moved his enclosure to fresh grass. Everyday I move the rabbit into fresh grass so he always has clean grass to eat and a clean place to sleep.
I felt more energized once I was up and moving. I made a smoothie and was making a plan for the rest of the day when I got a text asking if I could do a one time $250 cleaning job in McCall tomorrow. I had a full day scheduled for tomorrow but if I moved my morning client to earlier, then I could do it since I was going to be in New Meadows for another job in the afternoon. I called my morning client to see if I could come earlier. He was having trouble with hearing me and we got cut off so I planned to stop by his place and talk to him face-to-face after I ran an errand for another client.
I drove out to Goodrich and it was a lovely drive. The air smelled like rain and I had the windows down..like always (in the summer I have the widows down with the a/c on, in the winter I have the windows down with the heater on 🤣). This afternoon was a perfect temperature, in the mid 70’s and a sprinkly (is that a word?) rain. When I got to my clients, I watered the plants inside, checked everything inside and outside and gathered up the mail. My clients are out of town and I’m taking care of their place until they get home. I drove to the post office in Cambridge and got the rest of my clients mail to send it to them at the location they are currently at. The post master was very helpful and somehow managed to get all my clients mail into a “flat fee” envelope. That was quite the feat to watch and I was betting that it wouldn’t all fit. He was a Tetris master though and I applauded him on his success. There wasn’t anyone else in the post office and the post master and I had great fun chatting and laughing while he mastered his feat. I love people!
When I got back to Council, I went to my morning clients house to see about coming earlier tomorrow. He was happy to see me and we started talking about the next adventure he wants me to take him on. I started his laundry while we talked and then I did his dishes and changed his sheets. Finally, I told him that I’m just going to do his cleaning today. He laughed and said he’d noticed that and he was happy to have me do it whenever. I finished cleaning and got his groceries for him. Then we finalized our plans for our next adventure.
Back at home, I decided that I was going to get back to my day of resting and relaxation. I lounged in the hammock the rest of the evening, listened to an audiobook and made some phone calls. I put on a sleep meditation and went to sleep at around 10 PM.
Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you.
Love, Victoria
