Cat Sitting, Cleaning and Blessed ❤️

August 6, 2026

The morning was easy. I felt well rested and felt thankful for a new day. While I made tea and a smoothie, I listened to a podcast about the power of words and how we create what we speak. Angel had stayed the night at a friends and I am thankful for quite slow mornings and podcasts, fruits and greens and herbal tea.

My first opportunity for the day was a drop-in cat sit. I petted the cats and had a great time interacting with them. I am thankful for cats and love.

My next opportunity was a house clean but it got rescheduled at the last minute. I was happy to have a couple of free hours in the middle of the day and I used my time wisely. I went to the library and got help with getting signed into my Libby app again. I had reset my phone a couple week ago to try to solve an issue with my Venmo app crashing all the time. I lost all my saved log-in information with the reset and my Venmo app is still crashing…🤣. I am thankful for smart phones and Venmo and libraries and Libby.

I went to the thrift store to visit with everyone. I bought some sandals and a book. Then I picked up Angel from her friends and we drove to McCall. I downloaded a new audiobook for us to listen to called The Green Ember. We like it so far. Before this book we listened to the Island of Fog book series. There are 18 books and they are all over 9 hours long. By the end of that series I was ready for something different. I am thankful for audiobooks and thrift stores and people and Angel.

In McCall, Angel read while I cleaned and chatted with my client. It was my first time cleaning for this client, we enjoyed getting to know each other and she was very happy with my work. I am thankful for new connections and clean houses.

On our way home, we stopped at Natural Grocers and had fun shopping. Angel and I got stuck in the natural deodorant isle, smelling the samples to see which one smelled the best. Angel settled on lavender. I am thankful for bonding and lavender and grocery stores.

At home, Angel ate and played in her room. I ate a big salad and rested in the hammock. I talked on the phone with friends and had fun conversations. Then Angel and I each bathed and went to bed. I wrote my blog and read. I went to sleep at around 10 PM. I am thankful for salads and hammocks and fun conversations and baths and a warm comfy bed.

Thank you for reading my blog and being a part of my life. I appreciate you!

Love, Victoria
